Nanticoke Indian Museum

The Nanticoke Indian Museum is the only Native American museum in the state of Delaware and has been named a National Historic Landmark by the Federal Government. Visitors can learn about the heritage of the Nanticoke Indian tribe while checking out artifacts including thousands of arrowheads, pottery, axe hammers and other objects, all of which are homemade. The Delaware Aviation Museum Foundation (DAMF)  is dedicated to preserving the fascinating history of aviation through their display of classic, vintage and military aircraft and aviation artifacts as well as an extensive reference library. Treasures of the Sea Exhibit

The treasure from the Nuestra Señora de Atocha, a Spanish ship that went down during a hurricane in 1622, is calculated to be worth more than $4 million! Through efforts of various treasure hunters, over 1,000 silver bars, 180,000 silver coins, a number of bronze cannons along with numerous types of gems were recovered and are now proudly displayed. Come experience the excitement of treasure hunting in the waters of the Atlantic with a visit to the Treasures of the Sea Exhibit at Delaware Technical Community College.
