Fall is such an exciting time! The leaves are changing, the air is crisp and there are so many uniquely fall activities you can do. Plus, it’s a great time to squeeze in a few last camping trips before the weather gets too cold. Here are a few can’t-miss activities for a fun fall camping trip at Massey’s Landing.
Making Cozy Foods Over a Campfire
Whether you make a big hearty pot of chili, simmer some apple cider or make a pot of hot cocoa nothing feels more like fall than cooking warm comforting foods over an open fire. Plus, nothing is better than sitting in the chilly air and enjoying something warm.
Hiking
When the humidity of summer breaks it’s a perfect time to get outside and do some hiking. Head to Trap Pond State Park to see wetlands, bald cypress trees and an abundance of wildlife.
Halloween Fun
If you want to have a scary good time this fall don’t miss out on our Halloween weekends. We’ve got three weekends packed with thrills and chills starting on October 16. We’ll have a costume beach party, pumpkin painting, Halloween movies, a zombie 5K and so much more!
Kayaking
Fall is also a great time for kayaking since the weather is cooler. Rent a kayak at the campground and paddle around Rehoboth Bay. Look for fall foliage or just float along and enjoy the view.
Visit a Pumpkin Patch
There are several local farms where you can pick your own pumpkin and enjoy other fall fun. Parsons Farms Produce in Dagsboro has U-pick pumpkins on fall weekends plus hayrides and pumpkin bowling. If you’d prefer to pick apples head to T.S. Smith and Sons.
